How much wider are you wanting to go?

You know if you push the wheel father away from the knuckle it makes it harder to turn don't you. IMHO it's better to make the axle wider. You can get the width you want and your steering servo isn't over worked. I made my axle wider and went with a wheel with more backspacing and my steering got better with the same servo.

what is 2 cm going to give you? anyways stick a couple washers on the axle b4 the wheel...2cm will be easily obtained and the axle is more than long enough to still tighten the nut.

make the wheels that little bit wider then the length of the body

cheers i will try that i did notice the length of the hubs if pretty long - but is the any wheels that attatch at the side of the wheel to the hex

what i mewan is the the stock wheels attached the the hex in the middle of the wheel - so any wheels which do this would add width although they would probably need to be made out of metal

You can use KC's idea or trim the back off the wheel. If you cut some off the back of the wheel it'll make your tires skinnier. Won't actually add width but it'll give a little more room in between the tires. It sounds like your wanting this in order to just clear the body.....yes? If all you need is 4 cm(2 on each side),I think trimming the backside of the wheel could do it also.
