A stick style chassis concept with a torsion bar suspension? How does it work, performance wise? I have actually been thinking of "sticking" the back end of my maxx for a while now.

I think it's working pretty good so far. I'll have to get some vid and see what ya think. The hiem on top of the axle is mounted rigid with swaybars connecting the lower links, that's it. I may put a shock on each end but it just doesn't seem to need it. :?

Here's a couple underside pics.:

Here's a little bit of vid. My front diff lock method failed and the rear servo stripped the gears and started doing it's own thing near the end.

Waiting on an index table to finish my beadlocks and try making spools. It will get pulled back apart and the frame will get trimmed and lightened to lower the C/G.

That was the rear servo dieing near the end, gears are trashed. It was the one I originally got with the truck and I didn't really expect it to last too long. You can also hear my thumb slipping off the steering control a few times.

That's a cool crawler. How did you get the revo shafts to fit the axle input shafts? I'm working on a twin crawler too, that's why I ask.

I made my own adapters but drilling them seems to be working well for others. If you look close, you can see I haven't figured out how to drill that pin hole accurately with my equipment.

Krawlr...thank you very much for your reply. I could see that it looked as though there was something a little extra involved in the way you coupled your drive shafts. That's a very interesting and inovative way of assembling your drive shafts onto the axles...obviously a little more involved than just 'drilling them out'.

Have you had any problems with your driveshaft adapters during testing your rig?

I was worried about the loose fit of the pin hole but I see no damage to the Revo end with it back apart. So far so good.

i just drilled mine out, with some really odd size bit that was close to 8mm. thats all, and they are working just fine. then i drilled the pinion with a bit that was close to the revo pin size. its working good too. i used a center punch and a hand drill. is this better?

Yea I used a transfer punch/center drill but I don't have a good way to hold them good and square on my machine yet. I've had an index table on order for a few weeks now. I couldn't stand waiting anymore. I have beadlocks waiting on it to be drilled too.
