Default problems with axle dogbones binding in the drive cups?

Just thinking about various problems that I have read concerning the Twin. Is there much of a problem with the dogbones binding in the drive cups when the wheels are turned at max? If so, how about a cvd upgrade/ mod? I posted a question asking if Proline 40 series beadlocks will work on a Twin. A reply stated that if you replace the drive cup axles with Savage cup axles, this will allow for Proline 23mm hex adapters to fit. Saying that, how about a Savage cvd mod of some kind to allow the use of the 23mm hexes and keep the dogbones from binding?

My stock axels don't have any bind from the dog bones at all while turning. The knucle binds before the bones do and that ok. But if you mod them for more steering it wouldn't suprise me if they'd bind.

As for the CVDs, i don't know. The diff in the axle sits to one side a litle(unless you mod it) so two different shaft length are needed, i've seen it done on other trucks.

If your woried about how good a twin is for crawling, don't, they're great.

All i did was:
fourlink
gd-600
lock diffs
revo shafts
and new steering
= easy(almost all was done with hand tools)

Instead of cvd's, one might look at universals. The Twin Force dogbones are kyosho 7.5 buggy ones. If you find some 7.5 universals the same length? Proline does make some wide 23mm adapters for them.

If there seems to be no problem, I am not worried about it. Just thinking. Brute Crawler, it kinda funny, I have some of your pics from your website printed for ideas on mods.

If you need info on "how to", don't be afraid to ask.
