Default Twin Force Parts Availability!

I got off the phone with a few LHS, that I got from Kyosho, and they all stated KyoshoAmerica is really screwed up. Kyosho keeps saying that they are going to start shipping vehicles and parts to the hobby shops, any day now. That was back in May/June. One shop owner said that there isnt even a wholesale list, from Kyosho, to order from. I got on the phone with a sales rep from KyoshoAmerica and he stated that they already are shipping stuff and the LHS should have what I need. He then went on to say that at this time, the only place to get parts right now is through them. So what is it? Obviously there is something wrong. Hope they get it all straightened out soon. I need parts.

It's a shame. I really like their stuff. But I'll probably avoid them in the future.

I'd have more respect if they came straight out and said it will be 6 more months and followed through than string us along month after month like this. Why should I beleive this when it's the same thing I herd over and over before.

I agree,it is agravating.

Like mentioned above, what parts do you need?

Theres been several times lately that I wanted to change my truck or mod something and stock parts would have worked perfectly. They weren't available or I didn't want to pay for them so I made them myself. Sometimes making your own parts is better cuz you can add a little more beef in certain areas or fudge the parts to work even better.

I needed to get replacement axle housings and the stock links so I can have a second set to modify. I wanted the option of changing it back to stock if I wanted at a later date, so I will have a backup to whatever stock parts get modified. I'll just get it through Kyosho. They have pretty much all the parts for the TF. Thanks for the offer.

Yuckydog, you wouldn't happen to have some axle housings you need to get rid of, do you? I can't locate them anywhere. Need some help.

The only problem is that shipping is almost $8. In some cases the shipping is more than the part that I need. I usually have to wait till I need a lot of parts to justify the high shipping charge which equates to more shelf time. :-(

my hobby shop has no problems getting kyosho stuff. If you are in a hurry just buy a second used set off this site and have one modified and one stock set.

Yea I just ordered another set of axle tubes and the buggy knucles.. They said they will have them within 2 weeks... A good hobby shop should have no problem getting mad force parts.. I was worried about it but I have been getting great service from my LHS... and I was sure happy to get another set of axles for cheap..

Hello, I am most likely going to build a Twin Force crawler as a winter project. Is purchasing a twin force kit, stealing the axles, and selling the rest the best option? Are there any online retailers of Kyosho products right now?

Thats the only place I have seen a kit... They have been discontinued as we know.. I am shocked.. and happy that there is still an option to get a kit..

I think your better off finding a shop that can get you what you need instead of getting a whole kit, because thats a lot of parts that not to many people want.. My LHS odered axle tubes and knuckes for me for under $60.. I will use diffs that I have already built... and axles from RC Alloys....

If I did purchase a kit and take the axles, what do you think would be a reasonable price to sell the rest of the kit for?

They have not been discontinued by any means. Kyosho Dropped Great Planes as a distributer and as They were Kyosho's main link to the US (and Tower Hobbies) Parts are hard to find. I can imagine as time goes by, more distributors will come about.

I called and ordered the spare axle housings I needed and yes I had to pay $7 shipping but I got running again. Seeing as how I have over $500 invested so far, $7 for shipping sucked but is a small price to pay IMO.

They also told me Ultimate hobbies was getting the first batch of parts so you might be able to special order from them?

Do yall think there is any interest in the rest of the kit out there if I sold each component seperately, like the transmission, chassis, and tires.
