Default shock oil and springs

I am using the stock plastic shocks for the Twin and was wondering what shock oil weight and springs are good for crawling? The stock setup seems very stiff.

I'm using 80 weight oil and the flouresent yellow springs from an XFactor. Seems to work great. Hardly even notice any torque twist also.

I'm working on my first crawler and don't know much about oil/spring combos.

My rig will be a Stick with basically the recommended setup, I was wondering what the hot ticket is.

Also, can you mix different weight oils of the same type to change the viscosity?

I'm not sure what the hot ticket is for a Stick set up. You might ask other Stick owners.

As far as mixing the oils,I dunno. I seem to remember a thread that was on the topic of mixing the oils. You might search for it. If I'm remembering right,it was a looooong time ago so it'll be an ooooooooold thread.

you could mix shock oil, but you can also buy it in incriments of 5, and I don't think its that important to have the "perfect" viscosity of oil....

I'm using 30 wt in my stock TF shocks and have absolutely no torque twist.

and no climbing ability

I run 90wt and 100 wt oil in my shocks.. it's all just a test and tune process

Twisted, are you running soft springs? I thought the theory would be to allow the shocks to move freely unless this comes from very soft springs.

'Search'? Wh'duya mean?

Thanks anyway for the info raptorman57!

And to everyone who actually tried to answer, thanks. I'm sure i'll have to run the gauntlet of trial and error, but it helps to have a clue (and a job or else I would scour all the threads for three days straight and learn all I could!)
