| IMHO,the 3/8" would be to big. I used 1/4 QA1 heims on mine at one time. Although they were burly and bullet proof in this application and pretty dang cool lookin, they were just to heavy. They worked awesome but just took to much from my run times. I ran it like this for a long time and tried to up my run times with no success,it was just to dang heavy. Running BIG heims,3/8" steel tube links and a 1/8" tube chassis along with the Kongs, steel driveshafts and everthing else it put my rig a hair over 19 lbs. I've since put my rig on a diet, from 19 lbs. to 10 lbs., and the performance is still good, bout the same really, but my run times are more than double in length. I went from a 12 to 15 minute to a 40 minute + runtime. I've got a few more things to work on that'l probly gain a little more time. Theres a few more pics and info HERE |
