I don't really like the look of Kongs, never have. But nice build, and killer tally of only $250! Keep us posted on how it performs.

| unless that is one of those fancy smancy hitec titanium gear servos that wont last 5 minutes. that thing is crazy long, but dont you think that if you raised cg a litte and shortened the wheelbase it would go over stuff beter? do you have any artic pics? harris |

| The tread on the back tires is a very cool Idea. Let us know how that works out for you. |

| Nice TF. I think the wheelbase should be perfect. |

| Nope, no fancy ti servo here Its the bluebird 630 i think like 195oz or somthing and yes i know it will be dead after 1 run but i really dont care. This truck was not built to be a comp rig. I built it just for fun and its something i can just bash around and have fun with. yeah the tires i got from a dude on ct, The guy started siping them, so ill have to finish those up If i remember correctly i think digler ran this same wb on his super digler truck i think it was? Yeah it is a bit long but i can allways change it so will see Last edited by TerribleOne; 09-30-2005 at 01:25 PM. Reason: spelling |

| Nice truck, looks like mine but 2" longer, you know u can mount that motor plate much higher and spin it around so the motor is in the front... just by drilling some holes. My chain tranny got stuck on everything until i raised it. |

| I dont know your terrain, but your setup should work well. good wheelbase for the tires and clearance. the steering and link mount looks brillant. As far as reduction, I can't help you unless you tell me what final speed you want and what the rollout of the tires is, the reduction of the tranny, how many volts you will be using, and your mother's maiden name. Then we can talk about your reduction. Maybe someone else here has run the same tire, tranny, reduction combo and can comment... edit: looks like you could get better steering if you rotated your servo horn 180 degrees so that the control arm was on a better angle. I can't tell if you have the room, but it would relieve the servo some. Last edited by JohnRobHolmes; 09-14-2005 at 08:27 PM. |

Ive beat the crap outta mine and they have run strong since they were released. Don't overvolt them and they work fine. My problem is wasting servo arms alot. Stripping out aluminum servo arms running moabs, and the servos still have no play.

As for the steering horn, there is no room for it to be rotated down. So it has to be up, but really this servo seems to turn these babies better than i though but i havent ran it on rocks yet. And the gearing on this truck sucks badly, ok so first run for it with the lathe motor and gd600 (18t on the motor, 13t on the gd shaft, stock tf spur) thing barly moves and has horrible torque. Its weird, oh and just 6 cells so im like hmmm, went looking around my place for motors found a 17t s so im like hell ill try that, same gearing , truck was kinda fast but hella torque but seemed to stall easyily. so i need to mess with motors/gearing and still needs a body, otherwise it seems ok for now. :?

| try the lathe on 9 cells. it will perk up pretty well. otherwise you might want to ditch the reduction and just try the lathe motor. |

| yeah get some matched cells or somthin and like 8 cells. also make sure they are fully charged? are you using a super brain by any chance? i dont think the lathe needs a reduction. |
