Default My Twin Force Project

I've been working on this for a little while now. I just finshed rearranging the links, I still have to make 2 links out of aluminum. I've extended the wheelbase to 17" and had rcalloys.com make some longer center dogbones. I made the chassis out of some G-10 and modified a new era center skid plate. There are new era bumpers on the axles and 1/4 scale servos (Hitec 805 front and 705 rear). I plan on using a lathe motor, replacing the plastic savage shocks with some threaded body units, and maybe jumbo kongs. Thanks.

It looks good. I love those bumpers, but there awful for crawling. I'm not done torturing my kongs in search of traction yet, but I'd be willing to bet you'd be alot better off with some Moab XL's. I do like the look of the G-10 stuff, it's a clean looking build. nice work!

Nice build, very clean, yes, no more bumpers. My jumbo kongs narrowed with beadlocks have never let me down.

Thanks!!! I am thinking about modifying the bumpers, or making something out of some thicker G-10. Tires are on the list, but I'm not sure how soon I will be able to get them. I do have some maxx mashers on beadlocks that I will try first, and may have to live with those for a little while....I'm getting ready to buy a house at the beginning of the year.

Live with them?

Those are the best tires for crawlin!

Don't modify them......throw them in the trash.

I'm probably going to cut them down a lot. I need the part of the bumpers that attach to the axles. I have my servo mount and link mounts built on them.
