If I remember right they are 12 1/4" I can't remember exactly,it's been a while since mine were stock. Mine are now a shade over 14". The factory Twin/Mad force wheels are the same size as Maxx type wheels but they take a 17mm hex. The Twin comes with a 14mm hex and an adapter hex that slides over the 14 and makes it a 17. You can buy the adapters for a few bucks by themselves.

so all TIRES that fit the T/E Maxx will fit on the Twin/Mad Force RIMS...and all T/E Maxx RIMS also fit the Twin/Mad Force if you use the adapters included with the Twin/Mad force...true? and thanks for the reply...btw the reason I'm wondering is that I am about to build a crawler but I don't like the look of the T Maxx style crawlers (wheels are waay too huge to be realistic) but I also think the TLT axles are too narrow for my project so I'm looking for a happy medium...mabey use the Twin force axles and find a 1/8 jeep body...oh well I'll keep looking thanks again.

Yes the tires are interchangable between standard T/E Maxx wheels and Twin wheels.

You have that backwards. The E/T Maxx trucks use a 14mm hex only. The Twin/Mad Force uses a 14mm and then a 17mm adapter slides over that. The Twin/Mad Force wheels are 17mm hex and E/T Maxx wheels are 14mm hex. To use Maxx wheels on a Twin just slide the 17mm adapter off and your left with a 14mm hex, perfect fit.

But the Twin and standard Maxx wheels are the same size :? That's what bigger tires are for,it's not for ground clearence. All the bigger tires are for is to make your wheels look smaller I thought everyone knew that,it's all about the "look". :?

Are you sure your not thinking of Maxx 40 series wheels? Now those do look out of purportion

Anything but a girly Jeep body and it will be all good.

Is there any way to 4 link a set of twin force axles?

Are twin force axles and mad force axles the same internally and externally??

Do maxx sliders fit onto the twin force axles?

Thanks!!

in response to your smartassed reply in the other thread raptorman. it's not exactly easy to drill out the center precisely without a drillpress. I was asking if anyone ELSE had heard of adaptors that were already made...surely you don't know EVERYTHING that's available do you??? of course thats just my opinion I may be wrong.

Sure it is,if you know how to use your tools. Drilling the hole several times, stepping up a size on your bit each time will get you close enough in this application. Remember, your not building a space shuttle,it's just a damn little RC truck.

Lick my short and danglie hairs on the bottom of my nutsack dude. I NEVER told anyone that they couldn't answer your question for the second time. It didn't seem like everyone was rushing to your thread to post up anyway

Well, your opinion IS wrong! I do know EVERYTHING that is available. Anything you can dream up is avaliable. If it ain't made by someone, buy the tools to build it,then it's available

That shiny new silver Rubicon body of his looks great on top of his stock Twin. But he does great CAD drawings. Maybe he can draw up some trick looking adapters for you Raptor. Rock-rash is prettier than paint.

BTW, good luck with those savage shocks Steve!

HEHEHEHE,I'll agree with that, the boy can draw good. I've yet to see anything impressive with his building skills. My 8 year old son could paint a body and put it on HIS Twin crawler. Heck he did part of the painting on my body for my Twin crawler.

He can draw all he wants to,hell with that,I'm gonna build it and use it

I'm glad the Savage shocks are working good for you. I'm almost done with the shock mounts on my sons tube chassis. I believe the X-factor shocks will be awesome on his rig.
