A said the same thing but I was thinking about narrowing the axles and going with the 10.5" wide setup, but wanted to try these wheels on it first, then BAM!!! that its it the stance is locked and loaded!! And all off the shelf parts!!

No real update! but got the driveshaft lengths worked out and cut just waiting on getting the drilled pinions done, mount the elects and get the y-harness made for the 6s setup!! Do I want 22.2vlt 2200mAh or do I want 11.1vlt with 4400mAh??

Or should I make one for each!!??!!?? Wha the hell?? The tranny will take it!! LOL:twisted::flipoff::twisted: Axles will takes it..

Thanx britt, it will be a blast to run! And your right even saving on shipping I will still beat the hell out of the PayPal account!

Re: I know its wrong, but it feels so right!!

Yes I saw that. What are the specs of that T8 horse? The reason I ask is if the KV is too high, like 1900 or up, 6S will be uncontrollable. 1700kv is even nuts for 6S.

The Real Dogman 04-07-2012 06:38 PM

Re: I know its wrong, but it feels so right!!

Ah yes, well, it is 1900kv and plan to turn down the throttle curve so I can control it. It is a shame to have this power on tap and not use it all, I do intend on trying!

Small update, got the esc mounted under the hood And the receiver placed. Soldered the wires to the esc and to the motor but will have to cut in the bullet connectors. Drive lines are set With the drilled pinions and the pumpkins on the same side so the shafts are as straight as can be. Rick, the links do clear the shafts with room to spare! :flipoff: got the skid clearanced for the big assed motor. Everything rolls smoothly and true. Can wait to put power to this pig. Waiting on the vp cms kit so I can get the front suspension and steering finished.

That's all for now.

Farmer 04-07-2012 07:58 PM

Re: I know its wrong, but it feels so right!!

super shafty tranny?

Re: I know its wrong, but it feels so right!!

I'm running the same setup in my BYB (1900KV RX8 On 6S)

And well...........You have seen the video
I had to gear it down at the Pinion to a 17T
And I'm running 3.3:1 Axial Ratio Ring & Pinion
and now am getting 38MPH (much More Controllable) ;-)

I cant remember if you have the 4.3:1 or 3.3:1 ring & pinion axial setup
But.....
I will tell you if you have the 4.3:1 R & P setup like "Cordwood" has in his FOFF
Your in for around 53MPH using 6 inch Tires, a 21T pinion and the 56T RR Slipper

Cant wait for ECC :flipoff:

Regards Big Rick
