Just made some taller rear shock mounts and have moved the fronts as high as they will go :-) The centre shafts on a Revo are 2" too short, or do you mean the diff-to-hub drive shafts? Thanks |

Trany to diff http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...aft-Assembly-1 If the aren't long enough, they are easily extended with another male shaft. |

Cut up the female and use it as a sleeve. Glue the cut end to what ever length you need to the male end and use the clean end as your new female end. Clear as mud |

Ok, if I read that right, use a female piece to join two male shafts together...? I would prefer to see two females getting together, but thats something else completely... |

I think I might go with on of these... Super Long Punisher Shaft 195-237mm 7.67"-9.33" (5mm) and just drill one end out to 8mm for the Twin Force input drive. I looked at the Traxxas shafts, but I'd really like to keep things metal for the look of things I know they are a bit heavy, but its not like I'm going racing with this rig lol so should be ok... right? haha Servo time: Hitec HS7950TH with a CC BEC powering it. Think it will be up to the job? 486 oz/in at 7.4volts |

Right, I'm sorta at a standstill till I get my electrics sorted out. Chassis is pretty much there, shafts are on their way, gotta figure out how I'm going to mount the body but don't wanna do that until the electrics are positioned. Looking at a Hitec 7950, which is about 500oz with a CC BEC. Just need to know its up to the job. I would go for a 7980 but are more pricey and might have to get two if I go rear steer, so quite a lot of extra money. Next problem is finding somewhere to buy my Hobbywing motor/ESC combo. The only place I can find is eBay, but listings don't fill me with confidence and I have heard about a lot about fake gear being sent out. Any vendors on here that deal in Hobbywing? Got my radio, BEC, and batteries ready to go |

buy directly from hobbyking. its probably one of the most dependable cheap RC stuff site. here you go brah. HobbyKing R/C Hobby Store : ESC, UBEC, VR>Car ESC (has US and international warehouses) since you are across the pond shipping will probably take a while. or check out Electronic Speed Controllers (ESC) for 1/24, 1/18, 1/16, 1/12, 1/10, 1/8, 1/5 RC Cars (US based, but the same stuff) i might go with them since the shipping could be a little quicker than from hong kong. Cheers bro! Is the Hobbywing/king the same stuff but with a different badge then? I'll email hobbypartz and see if they can get me the M7a combo As far as the servos, it's more I'm not sure what's required to turn these big ole monster wheels, as I've never built something like this before. If the 7950 is up to it I'll order one up straight away. Just don't wanna buy it and find its not strong enough. |

A Peterbilt went by, stole his driveshafts lol 40 series tire.. Got to get the holes lathed out to fit either end and maybe some shaved off the face to line up the pins, but will have to look more closely when I get back from vacation, going to the Nurburgring in Germany for a week |

I might get a drive in my girlfriends Fiesta ST (if I ask really nicely lol), but not taking my car, its far too modified really and if it develops any kind of problem I'd be screwed as most of the engie work is custom, never be able to get replacement parts... Plus its got too much power for the front wheels anyway, no good on track. Just good at embarassing high priced exotica on the motorway lol Yeah they look crazy, love'em! Cant wait to get them fitted. Bad news on the servo front, no stock of the 7950 till sometime in July. Plus I still cant find anyone to supply the Hobbywing motor/ESC combo I want :( |

| Re: And so it begins... sneak peek Servoshop.com Unfortunately, when you add "across the pond" shipping and import tax, its more expensive to buy it from the United Sates :( Will have to sit tight... Going to try a few more places for the Hobbywing setup... then give up and pull my hair out... |
