Rear axle is mounted. And BCCrawler came through in a big way.

Front all linked up (just need some tube for the all-thread) Need to get the rear axle linked, mount the servo in the chassis, and then finish the axle shafts and wheel mounting. Then its time to make some tire smoke ;)

One of the trickiest things for me to figure out is how to secure the itty bitty wheels on my hog shafts. I already had to drill out the wheels to fit over the 8mm shafts.

Normally they have 17mm hexs on them so luckily Super Shafty has 12mm hexs to fit them. So after trying to fab some sleeves and spacers it hits me. Being a 1/8 buggy racer I have bags of wore out parts and 8x16x5 bearings. Cut off the outer race, push out the inner race and viola.

Some 5mm hardware with #10 lock washers. Perfect fit..

Thanks Simon

In case anyone is curious, that front weight box is full of lead. 4lbs as a matter of fact. The whole truck, minus the lead, weighs 5lbs

cool dude.

so on my 8mm shafts and 12mm hexes from Rick, i just grind them down til they are flush with the wheel when mounted and then use a washer that way. mounts up nice that way. i'll get a pic later this evening.

I'm sure that would work too. I actually like the looks of this too. Kind of looks like a hub.

No not at all. I spent extra time setting these up too. This thing has had two different esc's and shucked out couple revo shafts. Axles are the least of my worries
