| Twanka build coming soon.
After lots of down time..lol from crawling and building. The next great creation is coming soon. Going to build a tonka dump truck twin force, complete with plow. Im gathing parts for it now. Any ideas on suspention for a top heavy beast would be much appreciated. Still trying to figure out exactly what im going to do, but its going to be some crazy. As far a suspension I would like it to be stiff but still flexible so it can used, no solid mounted axles. Also could use some ideas for the dump on it. Thanks |

Buggynut's take on a Tonka Truck? Single rear axle? If tandem axles I suggest a walking beam style rear suspension.

I think im just going with a single axle. I will probably decide during the layout what is going to look best.

I just looked up a walking beam suspension. Would you put power to both axles when doing something like that?

No just power one and make a fake axle for the other

So l bought a dump truck to get some measurements and it was taken away from me..lol I was told by my 7yr old daughter that its now hers and she wants it for her build!! She says its going to be awesome sitting on her ax10 based crawler. Lmao im going to be out done on this build for sure. Ok so how this happend. I bought it, she sat in the dump bed and now sits in it to do her homework and stuff at the coffee table. I guess I need to buy me another one. Im looking for a bigger truck now since I have to out do her. Lol

Find a real dump truck to borrow and pick her up from school in that. |
