Default installing a GD600 in a Twinforce?

a few tips for you before you begin as I have just finished installing my GD600 and man! it's geared low now lol. first off when you take out the diffs to lock them, remember to put the diffs back in backwards ( flip the ring gear to the opposite side and remember to put the little shim thats on the outdrive bearing on the ring gear side on the other side as well) because the GD600 reverses your motors output (you can also just flip the positive and negative wires on your motor but some motors don't run the same in both directions so you might see a performance loss with just switching the wires). flipping the diffs is the best way, especially since you will have them out anyways to lock them. to turn the output shaft down I just mounted an old motor in it and hooked it up to a 6v power source, mounted it in the workbench vise, turned it on and held a file on the output shaft. make sure to check the fit of the pinion often and don't overdo it! you can't undo taking off too much. this process took about 3 minutes to do. good luck and enjoy.

oh man. glad you said something. I just got my twin force today and started assembling it. Would have sucked to get it all done and have it run backwards!

Did you replace your stock aluminum R&P gears with the steel inferno parts ? If not, you probably will be soon will all that torque. I wasted my stock gears pretty quickly. They're made out of very weak pot metal.
