OK, my parts came in early today, so I couldn't help myself. I can't stand that hideous dual motor mount, so I'm going to do an E-Maxx 3903 dual-motor tranny to E-Revo 5608 BL tranny conversion. Behold the E-Maxx 3903 dual-motor in all its hideous glory, and the goodies that will transform it into something beautiful. Surgery completed. We now have a lovely, much lower profiled E-Revo BL tranny. The Summit 2-speed tranny is on the left for comparison. |

I got the tranny mounted to the skid. Now I just need to get some spacers to mount it to the chassis. I need to figure out the gearing before I mount it. It has a 68T spur, so I figure maybe a 21T pinion for a 3.23 ratio?? |

Here's the power package that I'll be going with. I've never liked the 540-sized stuff. Only 65mm and longer for my rides. You can see here that I moved the tranny behind the center of the skid plate. I finally got the tranny mounted to the chassis. I had an old bag of links, and one matched up perfectly for the steering. Yay!! Now, If I can just figure out how to mount the battery. No drilling allowed. If that fails, I'll be forced to go with a... Wraith/AX10 tranny. Oh, the horror!! |

No 4S here. I'm not looking for uncontrollable. I have an MGT-E for that. My E-Savage was much heavier than this and I used this combo in it, and it had plenty of power on 2S. 3S was the sweet spot, and 4S broke stuff. No way this needs more than 2S, as light as it is, but I may give 3S a shot eventually. | |
