Why not, you'll just need servo for the brakes

I just threw a complete MF trans and motor away.... I don't think you could mount the bell from the motor onto a elect motor

It's a pic I found on google. The clutch would work either way but the three speed wont. It grabs in one direction and free spins in the other. I kn ow guys do brushless conversions on Kyosho GT2's all the time.

The kyosho mad force 3speed didn't have reverse. But I imagine if the 3speed bell was "fixed" or the clutch was permanently locked I think it should work. I can't remember if there is a one way bearing on the trans or not.

You can lock the clutch up but it won't brake or reverse, Giga Crusher uses same 3-speed "gearbox" and separate QRC unit for reverse. There are oneways in #1 and #2 gears, and centrifugal cluthes in #2 and #3 gears, so locking up any of those oneways would jam the trans during gear change while driving O_o

E Buggy racers use them to tame down the instant power of the electric motors compared to nitro. You just reverse the clutch springs so they grab the bell. Still have full function in both directions just have slight slippage to tame the torque.

Nitro buggy clutches rely on a centrifugal clutch to engage at a certain RPM. When used on a brushless the shoes are reversed so they remain engaged and slip. It takes a special type of clutch also. Check out Tekno RC for more info.
