hi crawlers i just 4-linked my twins rear end and mounted a servo direct to the axle it did require drilling though the axle and turning the knuckles around. I also have raised the center trans alowing me to use 9t pinions and a 70t spur for super low gearing. I plan on 4-linking the front as soon as i get more servo mounts. My qestion is were to place the batteries???

I lowered the original battery cups form their stock position and run six cell. Three cells on each side.

Sounds good, could you enlighten me on your tranny deal? Raising it up,did you have to get a longer chain? If not, how'd you work around that? I'd like to run a larger spur,as far as I knew, the only spur that'll fit and thats available is the stocker, something like 50 tooth. What 70 tooth spur did you use? Get some pics up,I'd like to see,if you don't care.

For gearing, I found a spur gear off a rc10b4 can work with a little moddin. I use the rc10b4 slipper pads and drilled the spur out to fit on the twin's shaft. After countersinking a screw under the gear, there is room for a 87t 48 pitch gear.

I raised the center trany by taking off .37 inch on the lower case (to raise it) and adding it to the top supports this allows bigger spur gears (traxxas 70t) I can take pictures I'm not sure how to post them. PS the chain dosen't need to change Last edited by tz-01; 03-21-2005 at 01:55 PM.

I see now,the way I took it in your first post was that you just raised the upper section of the tranny, like the spur, slipper and shaft assembly. THATS JUST GREAT,another thing on my to do list,THANKS ALOT. No,just kiddin, great idea. I'll try to get to that soon. Even with my GD600 with the 3.8 gear in it I still need to slow it down just a hair. If I can't I'll have to dicth the MM and go back to my 55T which was way to slow for me. | |
