| Hi Guys! I started building my Twin Force crawler in January, and I just finished it. Here's what I did. I got the idea for this truck after seeing this Inet chassis. ![]() I made a new motor mount plate out of lexan, and some servo mounts out of aluminum. ![]() I mounted the servo mounts to New Era Bumpers. ![]() I also lengthened the axles, to center the diffs. The axle halves are joined with 15mm x 3mm set screws from JR racing. ![]() I extended the lower links so the wheelbase is 19 inches. ![]() I put twin servos in the front, with an option to add two more for rear steering. ![]() I installed new drive shafts and diff lockers from RC Alloys. ![]() For the finishing touch, I trew on an HPI Jeep body. ![]() ![]() ![]() What do y'all think? | Yeah, I went overboard on the bling. The shine won't last though. It will see it's share of rock rash. ;) |

Oooooooo, looking good Charles! Personally I think those fancy outboard shafts and the spools give it a nice touch

Looks great, now where did you get the plastic stock to widen the axles and are they the same size as the clod axles when stock or Is that why you stretched them?? Did you have to find longer axle shafts? If so where? And those drive shafts, are they longer too since you streched the wheel base. What shafts are those? Thanks, I'm thinking of building one up, just want the low down

WannaBeDigler: Actually, all I have to do is move the lower shock mount position to make it taller! twinforce: In the outdoor pics, I have cranked the preload all the way to the bottom of the shock. This has eliminated all my torque roll, and the 10wt shock oil still lets the suspension move easily. I probably don't need to crank them down that much, I haven't had a chance to try it out on any real course, just a few curbs, boxes, tables, and some fallen trees around the yard. I'll play with it more when I actually hit some rocks. Bill: I thought you might like those! Sparky J: I just joined two long diff pieces (the one on the left) instead of the stock long piece and short piece.

Thanks guys. I'm sure I'll have some problems with the bumpers, but I haven't had the opportunity to go crawling yet. Twinforce: Do you have a link to some pics of your trimmed bumpers?

I'm working on it . Should have some pics up in a week or so . I trimmed it almost all the back , right in front of the steering rods . I drilled new holes for the two rods . They are a little wider apart now . But much better on the rocks . And the lower rod protects the pumpkin a little better .

:? i would get rid of the gay bumpers, lower it a few inches, put one of those servoes on the rear, because one is plenty. then reposition the batery to the front. otherv wise looks good. A little bling dont hurt at all.
