Just got done with her, only thing that isn't in the pics is the full lexan skidplate I'll add for Green River, here's the specs:

Xtreme Racing carbon fiber chassie
Full R/c Alloys dogbones
New Era spools
Lathe motor/ Super Rooster/ Hitec 645mg's/ traxxas Tq3
Reveresed the tranny/radio plate to get the COG right
Lowered the battery cup and moved it as far forward as possible
Shaved the axles and tranny
Imex Swamps dawgs on nice low offset associated rims
HPI Bronco body painted by me (quicky job )

Very Nice! How does it perform w/ the lathe motor? I'm debating whether or not to put mine in my Twin.

Doesn't have a ton of articulation, just enough to get a tire on a coke can and the wheelbase is right at 13". It's short but then again I wasnt building something to climb vertical ledges, hence the battery placement (it fits on the front axle nicely ).


To be honest I'm not sure of the lathe motor, it's great in most cases and I love the runtime but sometimes it doesnt have the grunt to get over stuff, I'm thinking it's something to do with my speed control so I'd still recomend it for a twin

Thanks for the info. Running 7.2v, Mine didn't really have any power hit in my stampede (Mtronics RV15 esc), I'm just curious about 14.4v. A friend did this on his clod, (14.4v X2 55t's in parallel S/R esc) and it got really squirlie when trying to crawl. I made adapters to run wither 1 batt, or 2 in either 7.2, or 14.4 to S/R esc).

I still love it in my rig! Its a bit heavy but I never run out of power. Either it moves, tires break loose, or I snap an inner.

Your running the evx right? Super Roosters don't like running 14.4v. Mine has "frozen" up a few times when trying to crawl. Ricks did the same thing.

Back on Subject.

I am hoping to do a similar buildup with my twin. I really like the jumbo swamp dawgs, didn't know they fit on those rims. Time to search more!

I got to watch Heavy's clod run on 14.4 volts and lathe motors this weekend-I WILL use this set-up in something! :-P

That thing had shitloads of wheel speed but would still crawl nice.I miss my old twin force I will have another someday.
