Default The Start of My Twin Crawler ***Update 5/30***

I started my twin force crawler a couple weeks ago. The main thing I have to do yet is go out and get a nice mig welder so I can make up a tube frame. I also have to finish customizing the 2 other kong tires. Here are some pics of my custom kongs mounted on one of the axles. The wheels have valve stems in them so I can fill them with air. They are almost 9 inches tall filled. I will update again when I start the frame.

I got some more work done on my crawler this week. I got the twin gd600's hooked up along with some titan motors. I also worked out the drive shafts with an aluminum spacer so that I could run a 20 inch wheelbase.

I am not using the Twin tranny because I already sold it. I had an extra maxx tranny layin around so I decided to use it.
Thanks for the compliments on my site and the Dodge Ram. It is 1/64th scale and I built the whole suspension for it. Thanks..........Aaron

Here is another update.........I did a little moch up of the wheelbase with the tires on along with the tranny. After doing that I noticed the motors were really high up, so I reworked the mounts for the gd600s. Now they are much lower.
Hopefully the next update with be of the tube chassis in progress......Aaron

What did you do to get the Revo shafts to hook up to the axles?

Well I haven't got to start the chassis yet. I am going out this weekend to buy a nice mig welder so I can get started. It shouldn't take me long to get it all welded up.
I just cut the hole bigger in the revo shaft so that it fit. It only takes a little cutting. If it breaks I will try something else, but I am not worried about it.

this rig is lookin awesome! can't wait to see how the chassis comes out. I bore out my revo shafts for my force also. The revo shafts are very beefy so it doesn't hurt them to take off 2mm.

I think I`m in love, with the kongs. Are those Mad Force wheels on them? Do those have the same mounting patterns as a T maxx?

Alright I finally got a welder and got to work on the chassis. It is coming along pretty well. I have about 6 hours of work into it and have at least another 6 to go. Enjoy!
