Size wise the tires look really good. It looks like the axle needs to be wider though.

I don't know about the wider part, the tires look like they set on a stock Avalanch. Having stick out past the body wouldn't look very scale at all IMHO.

yeah, i agree. widening the axles would'nt look scale. on the other hand those tires are the perfect size for that Avalanche. |

Finally its done! For those of you who know about the carnage my last scaler encountered i have resurrected her. For those who dont...it started off as a black avalanche as you can tell from the pics at the beginning of this thread. Then at a gtg with my club i wasnt happy with it so i jumped it off a cliff. (Carnage is always fun) So anyways total overhaul this time and alot of improvement, plus a different body. (Its actually the one i started off using) Alright enough of the blabbin here it is.... SIDE VIEW POSER SHOT CHECK OUT DA GRILL! LOOK AT THAT ASS! HAHA AND NOW THE GUTS SO FRESH AND SO CLEAN, CLEAN GROUND CLEARANCE SHOT AND OF COURSE THE MOST IMPORTANT SHOTS.....THE ARTICULATION BEWARE...COMING TO A PARK NEAR YOU! |

Can anyone give me ideas on what to use to waterproof the electronics? And also what all would need to be protected...ie motors, batteries, etc.

due to the size of the body and all the room inside.. you can use a tupperware container and house the ESC and the Rx (receiver) in it.. get one thats got some room so if that esc gets warm, the heat has somewhere to go... just be sure to seal up the holes you make for the wires for the electronics. also.. dont use a container that is too big, or it will cause that part of the rig to float. your servos should be fine, you could rtv them if you like but most are pretty button tight from the factory. How deep are you looking at going? just water or mud also?

Looks good. I think you need to widen the axles just a little bit. They look to narrow from the front/rear.
