Looks great man, I like that body.

I feel your pain about no hobby shop, closest one to me is 2.5 to 3 hours away.

Best looking Nylint I've seen so far and no flame cause at least youv'e put some fabrication work into it. Heck my first crawler was a radio shack monster patrol with a big cordless drill motor. Keep up the good work.

Hey Shaggy5050,
The plastic rod is actually your basic hardware/dollar store variety coat hanger. Some sold is solid while others are variably hollow(which allows for easy centering of the screw when fastening). I tried a few different glues, but in the end found hot-melt glue to work the best, just hard to get a smooth surface to mimic a weld(used my wood burner with the smoothing tip). I was hoping to dye the whole thing black, but the plastic wouldn't take the dye in the way regular plastic does. So I had to resort to painting. Again, not the best I found. The plastic must be a strange kind because the Krylon Fusion paint did not like to stick until I roughened the surface....Anyone have any suggestions on painting weird plastics?
