I think the mini savage is awesome, though a mini LST will still run it through the ringer. The ranger is looking sweet as well.

I was going to get one of those Rangers for the body but lost track of where to get it. I am diggin the tool box with all the micro-sized stickers on it. Nice detail and nice build as usual for you.

The mini XR3i is made from model car parts, styrene tube and a Hot Wheels wheel. Now I need to make a mini R-1 since I've upgraded |

Hey Goat, What did chopping the cab change the wheelbase to? I'm working on my first RC truck based off the same body and I'm having a heck of a time trying to get a 17" wheelbase truck going scale. I never even considered making it a single cab until this thread was brought back from the dead. Thanks, -Andy- |

Karpe, about 14-1/2, give or take 1/8 for suspension travel.

Thanks, I think I might have to make mine a single cab just make this a bit easier build. I've never hacked a hard body, any thing I should watch out for? |

Yeah, this Chinese styrene resists all known glues. Tenax 7R works the best for bonding the stuff, but even it isn't perfect. Shoe Goo seems to hold the best in the long term. It's hack, but what are you gonna do?

And here, after a year of waiting, is the Mini-Savage. Yeah, I know Radio Shack has those little RC monsters about the same size. It's on my shopping list |
