Thanks.

Well I'm officially crap at sewing. 3 attempts I've tried to sew up a canvas cover and foobared it each time.

No pics, it's embarrassing.

Do it. I just spoke to him on the phone and he said you could do whatever you liked with it.

Success. The hood is completed. What a ****ing nightmare, using thick canvas definitely wasn't the best idea. It's only taken 2 days and 5 attempts to make it.

It's currently sitting in hot water to shrink a bit, I'll take pics later.

Thanks.

I'm not all that happy with it, the canvas has shrunk way too much after I washed it. Also I think it looks better in black.

Not sure, need opinions.

Black canvas top looks far better than the one with white color.

Thanks chap, pm sent.

Time for an update. I haven't done too much but I made a roof box. The mesh needs some tidying up along the edges, I'll sort that out with some corner pieces.

Next is to make some spot lights for the top, I managed to find some map reading lights on ebay which are being stripped for the reflectors and the plastic - glass lenses. They'll be set in a resin mold to form the basic shape.

Well now....

It's a change of plan (again). The lights in the resin mold are in the bin, they were going to look similar to the ones on top of the Tamiya tundra but I've gone off the idea. They were going to be mounted at the front to the roof box.

Instead I've bought these.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

The lights will be modded to look scale.

Also....

I'm not happy with the width of the truck, the wheels stick out way too much, so somehow I want to chop the axles down a couple of inches. No idea how to go about this yet.

Some ideas would be good.

Neil.
