Default 1/6 CAMPBELL KOH IFS RIG all stainless

well saw the 1:1 and knew i had to build it!!!!
heres the low-down...plan
just gonna use my 3 ch 2.4 radio,hitec 5995 servo,castle monster esc,and a neu motor(want the planetary trans) and a 4s lipo for now,need to get the last 3 when i get there, and a 10A bec
suspension..still debating between a narrow hellfire based and a revo based got both and revo is too wide for 1/6 especially with any b'locks i have..we'll see,... more as it unfolds...

That's a killer 1:1 and if your 1:6 is half as good you'll have an awesome RC!

Seems everyone wanted to build Shannon's KOH buggy.

well gettin a few things figured out..and startin details
for rear shocks looks like the longest i can find in my shop are savage..6 1/2" the ones pictured have jato spring on top and hellfire on bottom, fronts will be easy thinkin bout hellfire for the main and some dummy bypass shocks(easier to make fake)
for susp..looks like i can get away with revo parts and just remake the a-arms for a scale look...lower f susp plate is 3/16 6061 and the upper arms will be 1/4 .065 tube, use the revo ball on 1 end and maybe alum rod end for chassis side
in pics, and for mock up thats a revo diff ...hellfire is planned front and rear
speaking of.. going to have to make rear axle housing soon, might be mostly alum but if can ..stainless!! got lots just no tig!!uuugggghhhh!!
well heres some pics
oh yea there is a pic at end with x crawler tires n wheels(3.2 wheel dia and 7"tall,i think its more scale in size but not appearance
let me know what u think bout tires

Wow thats awesome! Have you looked into the traxxas slayer arms? They look just like the revos, but are shorter. And those front uppers on the 1:1 sure look like the same style arm.

well ive been mocking up the f susp a bit more...
decided to go with my revo based parts...also fixed my backspacing problem by flippin the center of the b'locks around, even had to grind a little off the steering arm
and going with the hpi savage single shocks on rear and stock hellfire for the front(got half the parts)

well got a few more things comin together, along with the reality of my budget
in a perfect world i'd really like to be using a neu motor with the planerary, something close to the 1521/1.5d with a 6.7 ratio and 8mm output along with a monster esc
what im gonna use is a 1st gen e-maxx and use the 2 speed
also gonna use a 775 motor and evx speed control, had it wired for 1batt(7.2) for crawler but for this i'll switch back to 14.4v
also someone mentioned slayer arms..looks like i can get away with revo length, pictured are rear uppers, ive got lwb version that i gotta dig out, might actually work?
also found my engine, actually a 1/6 scale small block with carb not a ls-6 but hope to make look like one, also hoping that i can fit trans into eng kit
heres that neu motor

and heres what im trying first

well found this while out shoppin at a "craft" store..even got 40% off!!
yea i know its not a LS-6 but it is a 1/6 small block and super detailed
this should work for now...any objections? bareminimum i got a base for making a LS. only problem is it is kinda heavy, block, and oil pan are cast white metal
seems to be to tight for motor and trans inside block,i'll try flippin around trans and instal motor inside eng block..make a mid motor plate. the kit comes with mounts at all 4 corners, but should be able to use real location b drillin them out gonna s'can the fan
debating on at least customizing it a bit by doin stuff like repainting block n heads black or aluminum, detail all the hardware, add power steer pump, serpentine belt system, better plug wires,HEI distributor, etc, etc

strangely a 72t/32p spur is the same size as the flywheel.
well more pics

this is a 540 motor

..flywheel seems to be a 48p

..top view of trans, leaned over on its side, still want 2 speed to function so definatly got to flip around 180*
