That's awesome man. Looks about the right size for Chuck too. I was watching one on ebay right before I lost my job. |

So I'm sitting here, marveling (Is that how you spell it?) at the handi-work and my wife says, "Aw, that's so cute! I had a pink Jeep for my Barbie!" Don't worry, I smacked her. You scale guys have some patience. Wish I had just 1/10 of it.... or the talent for that matter! Good job. Tell Buster he deserves a few cold ones for his awesome build.

Well while Buster was driving around last week he ran across a stray dog with no collar or tags, he took to Buster like he knew him all his life. After putting ads in the local papers, internet search and checking with local vets he still hasn't located his previous owners so it looks like Buster has a new sidekick. Since he loves to ride in the Jeep Buster has named him Willie. |

If I can get him out of it long enough to tear it down and squirt some paint on it, might go with battleship grey. |

thanks for a great write up. I finally had enough $$ saved in the PP fund to buy one of these MB's from fleabay, I should have it next week. I've noticed a few builds where suspension parts are attatched directly to the plastic chassis. How well does this hold up, is the plastic tough enough for this? How well are your 'custom' leaf springs holding up? ( I like the idea you had for raw material) Do you have any issues with the plastic body becoming boyant when playing in deep water? |

A 12 lbs (according to my bathroom scale) it couldn't float if it's life depended on it. It's too front end heavy and with the hole drilled for the drive shaft to exit and the hole for the steering servo it fills up pretty quick. | ||||

They weren't exactly my idea, I read on here somewhere about using a leaf rake for leaves and ran with it. Haven't had any issues with them yet either. I think if I ran it without the internally sprung bruiser shocks they probably wouldn't hold the rig up for very long with single leaves though. :? just add a leaf ... whenever you start to sag ...pretty soon you'll look like the real thing!
