That's pretty cool but i think you need some narower axles or some bigger tires"thumbsup". Looks kinda funny with the tiny wheels all hung out there.

Great job on the tube work and body too"thumbsup"

cruiserkb 06-20-2009 04:17 PM

X2 on the bigger tires.

Great tube work! I would definately fab up some tube half door's. Don't want any blood spilled on the trail!!!

Keep it up!

Twistedwun 06-20-2009 07:33 PM

Thanks for the tire advice. Theres a new set in the works. And im also gonna add an exo and half doors. Thanks again for the comments.

Are those X-Factor Axles? Whats your WB?... IM not a Ford person, but it looks cool"thumbsup"

Twistedwun 06-20-2009 11:07 PM

Yes they are X-Factors axles. I modified some 14 -23mm adapters to run the skinny wheels everyone loves so much. LOL The WB is 26" and width is 18". Ill Post some pix of the drivetrain tomorrow. Thanks for the comments.

Thanks. I bought the truck from amazon.com for like 30 bucks. It was actually a cheesie A$$ r/c truck. I was gonna build the 1/5 ranger and found this instead. Thanks for the comment.

Foxracin 06-22-2009 03:34 PM

I have also been looking for one of the Rangers but havent been successful in finding one.

some of us might want to do one like that too

cruiserkb 06-25-2009 09:17 AM

What is the tire and wheel combo? I think that might be a good combo for a dakar Hummer project that I am working on.

alex718 06-26-2009 02:13 AM

haha looks nice..you should get one of those 1/6 scale figures that have the urban look..would look crzy

Twistedwun 06-27-2009 09:45 PM

Im not sure what the truck was called. Sorry i bought it a few years ago. The tires are modified nylints on 23mm cheyenne's. I actually like the look but theres not alot of grip. Im looking for some wider softer tires, but havent seen any I like yet. Lol about the urban figure. I threw in a new gi joe guy tonight and my daughters barbie. Took some pics ill post soon. Thanks for all the looks and comments.
