Talking Big Hummer

Alright guys, some of you know that the BFC wont happen anytime soon. But I am proud to anounch the rig that will take its place. :wohoo:

Here it is with my crew cab body and a WK tire for size reference:

This thing is huge!!!!

I will be needing your input on two things for this one:
-Should I build it as a military version or a civilian version?
-What tires would you recommend? (The WK tire in the picture is 5.5" tall. So I will need something around the 7' tall range) Any suggestions?
The only thing I have for it right now except for the body is a set of X-factor axles. And I will be making one of my own chassis for it. :nice:

My vote is for the military version.

Don't know anything about tires, but if we ever meet I'm afraid Buster's gonna have to challenge you to a Hummer vs Jeep pulling contest.

Default Desert race

Custom build as a desert race truck, roll cage and all. google the humv and find what you will need. and when your done it will be fun to drive and be all over the inernet. I was thinking of building one of these and using a E-Revo as a chassy. brusless would really put it over the top.

The traxxas summit would be a sick platform for this due to the locking/unlocking difs and the independant suspension, not to mention the two speed tranny. I SAY MILITARY!!!!

I am thinking about combining the two styles on this one.

TANK08: I am using X-Factor axles on this build. I personally think 4x4's should have strait axles.(my opinion only)

As an Army mechanic, I must say, go with the independent suspension on all four corners.

4x4's should all be straight axle, true I agree, but this is a HMMWV we are talking about here. Go for the real deal!

As an Air Force mechanic I agree, respect the lineage of the HMMWV just dont use scale springs and give this thing some freakin articulation!!
