The project has stalled for a while. I design carbon fiber chassis for an RC race team. That and some other projects have gotten in the way. It is sitting on the shelf right above my work table with hopes that I'll be able to get back on it one of these days.

I keep it where it is so that I can keep seeing it to remind me to finish it.

So, I pulled it down off the shelf and decided the original grill was too weak. It was a hodgepodge of the original plastic and added stuff. It kept breaking. So, I made this: It is 3mm carbon fiber thinned out in places to look better. It would look really cool left as CF but I need to hide the screw heads and it needs to be green. Here it is in the jeep: It has an internal structure for holding the lights. I'll post more pics of that when I finalize them. |

Bummer. My steering wheel has gone missing. Anyone know of a source? I also need scale dash placards. I've seen them before but can't find them now

Thanks for the website. I just ordered a set. I needed the gauges too so that was perfect. Yeah, I'll probably just end up making a new wheel if the old one doesn't turn up I have more pics of the grill. Just need to upload them. I completed the inner structure tonight. |

Ha! Found the steering wheel. I redid my work room recently and it must have fallen off and rolled under the work table. Finished the grill tonight minus the wiring. Backside with the light mounts screwed in place and the radiator shell glues in place. Closeup of the light mount. They sandwich the headlight buckets so they are removable. Mini rare earth magnets on carbon fiber mounts. More mini magnets on the hood hold the hood closed. Finally, the grill installed. I'd like to find a scale warn 8274 winch to put on the front. At least one that doesn't cost an arm and a leg |

You can try RCPCrawlers.com, look under GI Joe Willys, and they have winches, however, I went there tonight, and it appears the site is down

Yeah, I have one of those. It looks kind of small still. I need to get my 3D printer working so I can print an 8274
