Default Axial internals in WK axles?

Do the Axial axle gears work in the WK axles? I have WK axles on my Willys and later realised I couldn't use the MIP drive shafts because they don't fit the out shaft on the axle. So I had to go with plastic ones. They seem to be holding fine but when I go up something steep I hear some noise. Not sure if the drive shaft is slipping inside or if it's my axle. The thing is I bought the axles from a friend who previously locked them with JB Weld. So if it is the axle, it's only gonna be a matter of time before they strip in which I'd like to switch the gears to Axial so I can also use the drive shafts. Did I confuse you guys?

In my Slash/Trophy Truck WK rear axle I installed the Axial high speed gear set and the Axial locker. The WK diff housing bolted right to the Axial ring gear.
The ring gear, pinion gear, and locker were a perfect fit.

Was that out of a stock AX10/SCX10 axle?
