Default Long travel shock options

Apart from the HPI Baja rears which are 207mm extended, are there any other options for long travel coil over shocks out there suitable for a 1:5 scale beast?

As usual, the cheaper the better!

Thanks,

Bish.

The only other long shocks are the hpi savage, and they are a little small for a 1/6 imo. I have the baja shocks on my 1/6 campbell and the springs are way too stiff. And thats with a 7lb bare chassis on top of em. I can't seem to find any soft springs for them.

Well, would you believe it!

No sooner had I made my last post than I found a complete set of Baja shocks with a starting price of £25.......

This evening they belong to me for the princely sum of £27.34 .

They are advertised as used, but at that price I can't really go wrong!

Now to go and learn how to remove purple anodising!

To remove the anodizing, break the shocks down and soak them in a pruduct
Called Greased Lightning. It takes it off pretty well without using drain cleaner.

I'm running the same set up on my 1/6 scale rock racer. I am using the yellow soft hpi springs front and rear. and they are way way too stiff. So I went to the hardware store and found the stiffest spring I could that fit inside the shock body. I lost about 1/4'' of travel overall, but it was worth it to make them softer. At such a large scale, savage shocks just look wrong.

best of luck too you on finding springs, i feel your pain.
