Default Stupid question... maybe

What is the external diameter of a 40 series wheel? Is it 4 inches (100mm)?

If the wheel is beadlocked does it change the diameter (can't see why, but I thought that I might as well ask two stupid questions whilst I'm at it!!)

Reason for asking is that I am turning a set on the lathe and have made one from 100mm diameter stock and then thought to ask the questions above.... d'oh!

Thanks,

Bish.

Generally they are 3.8" tall. Beadlocks aren't going to change the actual diameter. Some beadlock rings might be a little larger than the wheel.

I did the same thing on a set of wheels I made. I had to stretch the beads some and it makes the sidewalls seem stiffer.
