VERY nice. I like it. Never thought of using thin lexan for body panels. You even have to form them or do they just lay down onto the molds with heat? Those tires are perfect for 1/4 scale aren't they. If you fill the AX10 trany with steel I think it will hold up. Now the 7t puller on the other hand. It may get a little hot on you. My 10t gets hot in my 9lb Super. If John has and 14 or 16 turn armatures I think that would be more better. Keep it up. Now I HAVE to get mine finished. |

Keeping an eye on this too. Looks like it might be a great option paired up with a Mamba Max Pro. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/electronics/277640-puller-pro-tech-thread.html |
looking forward to this being completed. great job so far |
I havent been making much progress on this thanks to being very distracted by my other build, a 1.55 VW bus. Here's the steering tie-rod for the 1:4 CJ, I had to bend the ends to clear the Xfactor diffs at full lock. Its longer than the wheelbase of the vw... :ror: http://i665.photobucket.com/albums/v...e/DSC01019.jpg Scored a 7980 out of the FS section! This thing is badass, and I havent even plugged it up yet. Yes, it is over 600oz of torque, but I'm still worried it might not be enough in a 20 pound truck with 8"+ tires. Also picked up a 1" Hangar-9 servo arm. http://i665.photobucket.com/albums/v...e/DSC01030.jpg If the 7980 is too weak I might have to try one of these. I think I have enough room for it, but I'm not crazy about the exposed gears. 1500 oz... http://www.servocity.com/html/spg785...o_gearbox.html Bought some aluminum piano hinge for the hood from McMaster-Carr. It's scary how easy it is to spend money with them, and next day shipping doesnt help. http://i665.photobucket.com/albums/v...e/DSC01031.jpg and Finally, I got the grill mounted on the grill hoop. Also got a picture with a 1/6 scale Willys (Thanks BigSki, I hope mine turns out half as nice as yours. "thumbsup") -Brian http://i665.photobucket.com/albums/v...e/DSC00991.jpg |

I'm thinking a 4-stroke would sling some dirt with those huge tires. looks good I just finished a 1/8 scale flatfender myself. |
WOW! How Kool! I want! too bad i got rid of my x factor. :x good luck with the build. |
