Not a whole lot of progress lately... Plan on kicking it into high gear after the holidays though. I really like this one, I could look at old pics of jeeps all day.. :ror: http://i665.photobucket.com/albums/v...puniversal.jpg I did make the dash hoop the other night. It is welded to steel sleeves that are pressed onto the aluminum rock slider bars. http://i665.photobucket.com/albums/v...e/DSC01079.jpg Merry Christmas everybody -Brian |
:shock::shock: whoa, that thing is mind-blowingly huge, nice work. subscribed, and am waiting for up dates!! |
Subscribed. I love the idea of this build and your execution looks great so far as well "thumbsup" |
wish rc4wd would finish thier 1/5th scale transfercase. that would be to perfect for this. a great idea for this would be a savage 3 speed transmission with a electric motor attached. plenty strong enough in my opinion. |

I NEED one... guess I'm going to have to flood them with emails until they make it. :ror: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showt...light=transfer |
You could find a Twin Force and make the trany into a transfercase and then swap out those XF axles for the Force ones. They are a little more scale looking and WAY stronger. I'm ready to see more Body. Merry Christmas! |
holy hell this thing is huge, its gonna be a blast to drive i bet, and how are you bending your lexan, |
you know u beat me to a build like this. i been collecting large scale parts. i been asking them about the large scale transfercase. i have a lot of cad drawings i made of a scale atlas transfercase. i made a exact scale of the 2 speed atlas transfercase with the same shifters as the real one. but without any mill of my own im stuck with drawings lol. |
