Yeah yeah yeah...... For the last month it has been tough dragging my ass out to the cold garage to use my welder. However, I did make a little progress the other night... a little. March cant get here fast enough!!!

I didnt even spot this when I first created the 2D cad drawing, but if you go back and look at it, the hood spreader bars pass directly in front of the upper shock bolts in the front, so I would'nt have been able to remove the bolt.

So I wound up having to make the front upper shock mounts double shear. Which is a good thing, should be a lot stronger, just more work.

Started assembling the trans today.

-Hot Racing steel gears
-Crawler Innovations Extended front output
-Aluminum transmission case
-DNA dig unit w/ steel internals
-DNA HD motorplate
-Slipper clutch w/ 96 tooth spur gear

Now Im trying to decide if I should run a 5mm 48p pinion, or disassemble the new motor and turn the shaft down to run standard 48pitch pinions.

I used a milling machine to clearance the dig case to fit the aluminum trans case in 3 spots.

Well, I had two different brand new DNA hd motor plates, and both had stripped threaded holes.

So I ordered one of the new Billet Works Design 4 bolt motor plates. I really think the extra support bolt will help carry this big T8 motor. Turning the bolts around to use nuts is genius over threading the motor plate.

But to get this giant ass motor on the new motor plate, I had to clearance a couple fins on my brand new motor... I was almost crying as I touched the dremel to my new pride and joy.
