| IFS KOH Rig
I've been working on this rig for the past 2-3 years and I've decided that it's time to take it to the next level. As of right now I have a pretty solid base frame built (see pic below) and I've started working on a new rear axle housing. The drive train is running on Revo 3.3 diffs and I have a dual motor R2 transmission that may or may not be replaced with a summit unit. I would like to put 40 series Rok Loks and probably a 1/8th scale brushless system in it. As of right now I'm waiting on the maxx suspension components that I'm gonna be using for the front end, and some rod ends from RC4wd. My goal is to have a rolling chassis by the end of February, so stay tuned for updates. |

Hey, here are a couple pics of the rear axle, I still need to finish cleaning it up and put link/shock mounts on it but it's pretty much done. The axle is 13 inches wide from hex to hex...in the pics it has 40 series Slingers on it: |

Nice! I'm also planning on making a couple of axles using REVO diffs and it's good to see other people's ideas. Just a couple questions: What size round stock is that and how was the wheel hub done? Thanks! http://img263.imageshack.us/i/f7b9a5...699255f6c.jpg/ |

Hey, thanks for the interest in my build! I used 3/4" 1/16th wall mild steel tubing for the axles. To attach the wheels I drilled through the axle so I could attach a hex adapter I had lying around...I think they're from a savage. I also used these bearings: http://www.mcmaster.com/#ball-and-ro...arings/=aojal2 , to support the axle. |

So on Monday I got the rest of my suspension parts in and I got to work building the front end. It's not quite finished yet, but it cycles really well...now I just need to figure out how to stuff the diff in there... |
