definitely go for light. the axles will handle weight but it will help the steering and motors if you stay light as possible. i built the axles with two long sides, helical gears, cut and welded kyosho IFW shafts and CDW spools. the nylint body is very wide, even with two long side housing i had to use wide wheel hexs to get width to look right.

Wow! If I didn't know better, I would think it was a 2.2! It seems really light on it's feet and has plenty of power. Thanks for the vids! You still owe us some more! Let's see some in the dirt....a nice scale trail run! |

honestly i would rather not say, not because i wont to be a d-bag. i just dont wont anyone to waste there money on something that they most likley wont use once they get them. they take up to much space and thats on a long side. they leave you with very little to work with for mounting shocks and links. i recommend and will be switching to v84x4's mount before i take this thing out again. http://www.supershafty.com/servo.html

finally got all the parts to rework this thing. first was changing the stock idler gear to some metal ones. hopfully this solves the problem of them stripping out. next was making a better servo mount and replacing the lower link mounts with some from V84x4. doing both at the same time i was able to push the shocks in to clear the tires when turned the biggest thing to tackle was replacing the shark fin on the rear axle. the rig is just to big for it, the screws work them self loose. so i got this big chunk of delrin to make my new mount. the end resolt of two days with just hand tools. a few random pics |

Wow the the second and third pic made the upper link mount look small but the following pics just show how big it is! Nice job on that.
