Best use of a Nylint Jeep I've seen in quite a while (part of it anyway!)

Very nice chassis...

a little update on this beast since someone brought it back from the dead. after squaring away the problems with the rear axle, it just pushed them to the front. its not to bad but when i really start to thrash on it i get the problems shown in the pictures. i have the solution for it i just need to finish other rigs before i can work on it.

after rereading the thread i noticed i never showed how everything is mounted under the hood. so heres a few pictures.

ya its a 2 speed emax tranny. i just keep it locked in first, the 45Ts are just to low to utilize the second gear.

you could easily get a servo winch in there if you wonted, just move the electronics around and there would be plenty of room.

what if you put a supershafty 4 link mount on both sides

is that frame brakeline, brazed together, or solid rod welded?

either that or take out the spacer.

was thinking of doing the same as the rear just not as big and have a cut out for the servo. shown in red in the picture.

the chassis is a little of both. in the first picture thats welded solid rod then the rest of the chassis was built off that with brazed brakeline.

Everything is looking real nice Joey

It's good to see those lower links holding up to the abuse.

Have you taken the trans apart to see how the gears are holding up?

under the hood looks great

Regards Rick

well its time to fix all the small problems on this thing. ordering the delrin for the front links today. still not to sure on the link setup but i think parallel uppers is going to be the ticket.

got the new motors in the mail. never have run these before but they should be faster than the 45t in it right now.

they are alot bigger than i am used to. i dont think i have the right motor mount to run them. will be using one from kershaw designs if i need a new one.

i have one of these in my 1/8 warthog on a summit tranny
lots of power, and works great with the two speed tranny

having two side by side will be crazy power
what will you have to use for a ESC?

pulled the motors and opened the tranny to see how everything looks. dont see anything out of the ordinary so i just put it back together..

found that the holes dont line up on the motor mount. going to the LHS to so if i can find a pinion that will work how it sits. if so i will just drill new holes and run it.
