Axial axels is what I used. Really liked them for a more scale build. If your after a more customized look then i suggest wheelyking axels (wider) |

You will more then likely need wideners with the Axials , the tires want to hit the shocks when turned lock to lock. I also ran into an issue with the rear hitting the inner wheelwells. I switched over to WK's and fitment was great. I am now building a set of Mad Force axles to replace them, kept snapping front dogbones.

I used Axial axles w/o wideners on mine with Bruiser shocks. Rear mounting: The other end mounted here: Front: I did end up narrowing the Rocklizards to cut down on rubbing and to increase my turning radius. |

No problem, glad to help. I have a lot of up top weight so the wider stance helped me a lot. I am actually building a set of Mad Force axles for it now, narrowed to 8.25" hex-hex. Just a tad more then the WK.

No build thread, it's just a basic build with a homemade cage. It's not finished but I have thrown electronics in to test it. Here's a couple more shots with paint. Last edited by YJesse; 06-01-2011 at 06:34 PM. |
