| Evolution Machine & Fab - "Warthog" Hey Guys, well I know this isn't the first "Warthog" scaler to grace these pages. In fact my buddy Jester666's "Piglet" build is what got me wanting one of these ever since the first time I saw his Awesome rig. I picked this one up as a roller from a fellow member on here a little while ago. Heres some quick specs..... * The Chassis was custom built by the legendary John Boyer * Traxxas Summit 2 speed tranny * Savage shocks * Traxxas Waterproof EVX-2 esc and 770 motor * Locked Twin Force axles * Independent front and rear steer * 1/8th scale 3Racing winch * 40 Series Mudslingers with custom beadlocks Heres how it sits as of right now...... ( the chassis itself is an amazing work of art..! ) It measures 23" long and about 9" wide. Not sure of the exact weight but she's heavy. Current plans include completely stripping it down and adding a fresh coat of paint or powdercoat, Fully custom scale interior and complete big block motor with headers and detailed engine bay. I might even look into having a set of custom aluminum beadlocks machined for this truck - time will tell. Updates will be posted as they happen - I can't wait to dig into this one..!! |

Can't wait to see you finish this one... That has to be one of the nicest chassis' I've seen by Boyer.

The summit trans in there looks tiny and gives an idea to the scale of the chassis. I'm liking the hardware, looking forward to seeing the axles under it.

Thanks Guys, I can't take any credit for this awesome machine up until this point.. I am going to simply rebuild it and detail it "my" way.. And heres a little size comparison against one of my CC-01 wranglers ( Yeah, its BIG..! ) Heres the "Mandatory" articulation shot..! More to come soon - Stay Tuned..! |

Hey Chris, Yes this is the same one TRAV had up for grabs a little while ago.. I just couldn't let it pass by. I know you built Justin's "Piglet" frame(s) and I can imagine how much time goes into building one of these from scratch. The amount of tubework on these trucks are mind boggling..! My hats off to you my friend, as I know I could never build something so intricate..! | |

Just takes a touch of insanity, that's all. Actually, the hardest part is cutting, bending, and brazing in all of the metal panels. What a huge pain that is! Looking forward to seeing what you do with this. |
