Default Big Heep

Here it is, i was debating starting a build thread or not, ahh why not.i've worked on it for 3 days now and mockup is almost complete. gi joe willys body Wheely king axles coil spring front rc4wd shocks 4link jato rear shocks for droop. powered by HOLMES hobbies Crawlmaster 850kv GD-600 divorced wk tranny for t-case. no i havent drivin it.
from last thursday when i started on it....

from today's session

its no where near complete, i still have to make a skid to tie-in the floor to the link mounts(metal) and paint the body(REID) i plan on doing a stinger for the front and a PSC rollcage maybe even a spare tire mount too.who knows? its only bee n a couple days working on it.

Are you concerned about the "unibody" setup? I don't see no frame and it appears you have everything bolted to the plastic. How much does the rig weigh? Everything looks sick, it's just the strength of the plastic that's bothering me. My very first built was like yours and i ended up cracking the body and wore out a couple bolt holes.

man those new jeeps are alot nicer I have a OG one and it's detail level is way down. how do you think the body will hold up with out a frame. looks like you just bolted it all to the body.
