not crazy scale, but kinda fun. i also cut off the fake plasic bumper lights, and put some billet ram lights on. damn aluminum diamond plate was $36 . for the hitch i just put some fuel tubing around a 4-40 screw, allows the trailer to flex about 45* i made the deck a perfect fit for a TLT rig to fit on it. found the 1/6 raptor at walmart, its RC too ;) even has a little rider with helmet/gear etc. the axle housing is just 1/4" brake line, the axle is 10-24 all thread. made the wheel adapter by taking 10mm nuts drilling them out to 1/4, and sliding them over another peice of 1/4 brake line, and braising them on. works great |

took the jeep out to last weekends TXRCRCA scale run. my giant rig ended up being the camera vehicle, but at the end we took it off and i got a nice river crossing in. about 11" deep and good 25 feet across. made it all the way unassisted, in some of the really deep spots where the water was over the hood, the 20+ pound truck floated alittle bit |

let's just hope that Big Joe's scale doesn't get out of hand at the next comp with AustinCrawls 1.9 Lara Croft have you limited the flex on that thing or did you convert it ot that comp looking rig ? ? ? |

naa big joe is on the back burner, spending all my time (and $$$) on 1.9s yeah i need some limiting straps for her bad. it has always been my intentions that once i reach the scale limits of this "street look" that i will tear it down and make it a comp looking rig, tube fenders, cage, stinger, sponsor decals, maybe even removed or hacked doors and a dovetail. and angling in half of the door/fenders would look wicked too, like the 1:1s Last edited by STANG KILLA SS; 06-05-2007 at 09:15 PM. |

I'm in the process of building a 1/6 military scaler. Would you mind letting me know where the gas can & shovel can be purchased? Did you say you made the winch or did you buy it somewhere?
