I got some work done today . I cut and mounted a piece of speaker grill for the Willys grill . I wanted the grill open to let the heat out from under the hood .

I also got my crusher panels finished and mounted . I gave them the brushed look .

I will work on the brushed look more later .

I have been kicking around names for this build . But tonite I settled on a name . So I went off and made the tag plate for it . I wanted a vintage looking plate . So here is what I came up wih .

I got alittle more work done this morning .
I worked on the grill and bumper . I ended up just cutting up the stock bumper for now . I made a flat alum. plate to cover the gap . I also found some off road lights I had saved from another build . I got the 4 links worked out and mounted the shocks to the axles . I got to space them out some . I also got to mount them to the body . I also got my light kit in . I got 8 white, 2 red & 2 orange . It will get 4 rock lights .

The tail light housings I bought at rat shack today . Part number for the housings is 272-0001 . I removed
the lights that came in them and used my LEDs . I also painted a black ring on them .The last pic shows the light after I sprayed some black paint on the LEDs to tone them down abit .

If you need side reflectors, I make real reflectors that RCP Crawlers sells.

As much as I'd love to meet up w/ everyone at the NATS for a Willys trail ride, it's just too much on the finances right now. I figured around $500 round trip, that's just too much for a trail ride.

Nice! The headlights are pretty bright, is that an LED shining through the stock headlight that comes with the Jeep? Or did you use different buckets?

I have to put some lighting in Ol' Blue. Wintertime will be here before I know it, and that means gettin dark at 5pm.

I really wanted to come down for a couple days myself, but times are really tight for me as well.

I've had a lot of real car problems to pay for lately...

Yes that is the stock headlights . All I di was remove the part that the stock screw went into . I then used Shoe Goo to hold the headlights in . I drill the back of the grill to fit the LEDs and I was one .

I got my whip mounted this morning . I will shorten the whip after the cage is done . I also remove the flat iron and put on a TSL . I don't have a spare 2.2 so the 1.9 will work . I also remove the grey from the rings and added buttonhead screws . I think it looks much better .

I got my trans case in today . I built it using Hot Racing hardend gears, Avid bearings , Axial hardend outdrives and Lithium grease . I just used a stock motor plate because I didn't have a heavy duty one . I ended up using my short JunFac shaft for the jackshaft .
So I have got to find another JunFac for the front .
