the barbie willys
 
Well not realy but my 2yr old daughter calls it that so what the hell:roll:

well went to the hobby shop last month for some glue, and picked the body up for $25. trying to use things i have around here to build it but we all know how that goes;-).

parts list

ax10 axles with long beef tubes
xr10 knuckles, Cs, and shafts
ax10 trans with alum gears
disrupter t case

We all know old cars and trucks have prob had a few paint jobs over the yrs, so i had to get it sand blasted befor the new paint job.

The cage looks great Brian . I like how you skinned the skid . I think I will do the same on mine .

got the liner sprayed in it and painted the under side and wheel openings black.

I like it a lot, the light blue with the black works . The liner looks spot on as well .

The blue is killer and works well with the black. The bedliner material looks spot on perfect. Love this rig. "thumbsup"

What brand of jeep did you start with? I haven't seen another brand that has the separate chassis like the Hasbro, but your body has some different details compared to the Hasbro.

This is what i used, I dont know were you can get it but a auto body supply.

It is the hasbro one, it was the one with the 4 gas cans on the hood, the guy i got it from had already cut the frame alittle shorter, and painted it.

The one thing I didnt like was the orangish color head lights this thing has.
So I will just use some glue to hold the grill and rad housing together.
i just made a notch in the grill shell for the back of the housing, drilled a 1/8" hole, cut the bottom of the housing in about half. Then you can see the diff much better I think. Yes that is the large axail one, I will prob cut the little bars off the cover.
