Here's some more pictures... So I thought the orion esc looked like a good radiator system (i use that loosely). tucked up the wire under the chassis. changed out the shocks (this are waaaay better, thank you Wade). Still need to make exhaust, going to switch out wheels- these are a little too tucked in and/or need to get a smaller set screw. I am cogging real bad... the speed is fine and I am not getting too hot but the cogging- ugh. So if I do that, I am thinking a sensored SCT system, which means fabricate a bracket to more the upper links out and then shorten the links. But it's coming along nicely- might even start on a new build... |

Definitely a unique truck. I really like it. Any pictures to show a size reference? I need something like that in my R/C collection.

Looks good! They take a little longer to build sometimes don't they? Worth the effort though.

Thanks for the comments... yeah they do take a while to build. I have a hard time doing detail stuff and that's why projects drag on. This one has been fun and I am not done yet- couple more performance things I need to do. Going to some carpet racing this weekend and can get some action shots and video. Really don't have it sitting next to something to give you a reference of it's size. Wheelbase is about 15in. the body is the hpi supercab that fits the savage XL so it's long. |

Looks awesome, it'd be cool to make some cars out of those aluminum baking sheets molded over a form of a car shape so they get a good crunchability. Text correct tells me that isn't a word but I don't believe it... If you do end up doing that, make some videos!

I hate monster trucks. I don't know why. I love them in the real world but hate them in RC land. This, This my friend is properly pretty. I want this to be on my RC shelf almost as much as I want my next breath of air. So good job man. Only thing you need is some honda civics to run over and you would have it perfect. |

It's big and obnoxious...the way a monster truck is. You're going to have a blast driving this thing. I'm a scale guy, and saw a vid a few weeks back and it made me SO want to just go out and mash on a rig like this! Nice truck! |

Whoa that is really impressive. Well done! Looks like it would be a huge amount of fun to play around with - especially with some scale crunch-able cars! |

Awesome! I'm actually in the process of building a wraith axle and tranny Wheely King with 4 way steer. Love big clumsy scale MT's! We need scale MT's! |

| Re: Boyer Bigfoot Monster Truck by Budhatrain nice catch! i wish there where more options out there. Quote:
So, speaking of clumsy... I need to put clod wheels on this baby and get the stance just a little wider. I love the kyosho rims but you can tell the offset is different than tamiya and the wider stance will gain some more steering. Of course I need to go through and make sure EVERYTHING is secure and locktite where needed. I hate loosing driveshaft grub screws! The beast cogs real bad... I have plenty of speed but the cogging sucks. So I am going with a sct brushless system, sensored. But in order to do that I need to fabricate a triangle bracket and then shorten up two upper links because the motor gets in way of the articulation in the current position with a longer can motor. Got to love custom work Scale wise... I need to fab up some headers. for some reason that is the toughest thing for me, but I will get it- just need to be creative. Thanks again for looking guys! One of the best looking "monster truck" build I've seen. Very nice detail. Really matches the 1:1. Great truck! |
