just to give you guys an idea what i'm going for, here was my initial inspiration...

But with the green parts i'm using, i will prob. do a paint job similar to this

also picked up some 1000 lumen cree flashlights, the modules from them fit right in the headlight housings on the body... should def. be plenty of light for night bashing lol

I didn't like how unstable the body was so I decided to widen the frame as much as I did the axles. I replaced the 100mm spacers with some rc4wd 140mm solid links.. Body roll is much less than before...
Here's the width before...

And now...

Really dwarfs the rampage lol...

The rear compartment holds the electronics perfectly

Alright here's where I'm at with the body... I'm about to start the details like windows, latches etc... But can't decide if I should leave the rivets silver or make them black... Any thoughts?

Been working on the paint details and waiting on parts.. By the weekend I should have a second outcry esc and the new flysky fs-it4 touchscreen tx and 4ch telemetry receiver. Also have a ton of leds and silicone wire coming to get the body wired up.. Also found something cool to use a frame center plates... Will post a picture of those when I figure out the mounting... Hope to have pictures of the finished body this weekend...

Looks good... Just watch your center... The shell will likely be top heavy making it harder to crawl especially if your thinking about going more scale... That's my biggest issue at the moment

It's together and running.. Going to do some outdoor testing tomorrow and see if the suspension works like I want. Will try and shoot some video as well. Still have a few things I want to change, like replace the winch with the larger 8th scale version and build a battery hold down.

So far I'm loving the new radio... Just wish it was 6 channels instead of 4 lol

Starting work on the trailer and hitch this weekend... Have a 52" offshore racing boat ordered and want to use the hummer to launch it. Anyone have any suggestions on boat trailer suspensions? Do I even need any or could I just solid mount the hubs and let the tires be the suspension?

I think I'll be using the wheels /tires from a Redcat super crawler... Unless I come across something better..

rigs looking good man, nice work. I really like that radio but give it a little bit of time and losi kid will probably have a hack kit available to get up tp 8 channels out of it like my 8 channel gt3b.

As far as trailer suspension that depends on how many axles your going to run. with a 52" boat your probably gonna want 3 axles at least. I'd say wait till you get the boat on your table and stare at it for a bit it'l come to you and if not theres always all of us..

You guys with the local hobby shops have got it made lol... This waiting a week or 2 every time I need something is enough to drive me crazy.

I have been playing around with some spare parts and it looks like I can easily double up my center sections for twin motor moa goodness... Will have to clock my axle tube mounting holes by 45deg to put the two motors where I want them, and mill some short axle bars to lock the two gearboxes outputs together. Worth the effort I think to get 4 motors on here.

Really like this build, i have the same crawler. Been thinking about doing something with it, i just hate how slow it is. Do you know where to get new gearing to make it faster?

Just swap out the esc with one that can handle 3s or 4s
