i added a 1/4 inch square rod in the chassy for strength and to connect the 4 link

Yep way too much work to do when a perfectly good chassis has already been provided for you.

Mine was reinforced with 2 layers of 1/8" aluminum and lots of epoxy. The link mounts are screwed thru the plastic frame into the aluminum with two M2 screws each. I've been driving it regularly and so far haven't had a single problem.

It is good to see another Jeep coming to life!! Make it happen man!

great to see more Willys out and about
same on mine, just the stock plastic chassis. It has taken so much abuse over the past 2.5 years, the plastic t-case skid plate has been completely shaved smooth, you can't even see where it used to say 'Hasbro'

I just scored A 1/6 th scale 21st Century Command car , the stock chassis on that rig looks like I could stand on it.

i bought some outside threaded rods and tamiya bruiser upper/lower sustainers for my 4 links

thanks man im very excited with this project i love it. its my first jeep build never builded anything like it before... i have had just RTRs like the honcho or dingo....
