Looks great, kinda nuts how much bigger it is than a Willy's, but I guess that's true in 1:1 too.

quick shake down run, didn't do too bad. Leans a bit to the passenger side, but i believe that is due to battery placement. I will do a bit of adjustments and see where it stands. I will take a few more pictures as soon as I can

Here's a few pics, its kinda done. Yall know what done means. Still need to figure something out for widening the stance a bit, and definitely need a second shock at each corner. And still leans to the passenger side. I'm thinking bigger or two shocks and lift it, but well see. Oh well still fun to use. Last edited by OllllO Fanatic; 08-28-2013 at 11:08 AM. |

Very nice build. That body scales out great with the running gear and wheels/tires.

It runs pretty well. Tires fold over real easy, and definitely needs something bigger/more in the shock area. Seems to lean left a lot. Ill tinker until I figure out the best setup. The blue Willys is good, but a bit dusty. I have all the stuff for it, but I would like to put an axial transmission in to it, just haven't had the time, money, or ability. I don't know how to weld, and not real good at brazing. It is a future project. I got to a point where I almost sold it, I need to down size my collection, but I couldn't bring my self to sell such and awesome rig. I will finish it at some point, not sure when though. I want to get into welding, but that is also on hold due to the purchase of a house and all the things that needed to be purchased for the house.

| Re: 1/6 TJ Jeep chassis I don't have a set plan of when I will paint it. I don't have my air brush setup and I don't have any where to paint. I have been working 12 hour days so I don't do too much during my free time that involves work. And my weekends I spend working around the house. Buying a house turns out to be a lot of work. I'm pretty happy with the silver for now, and turns out I will have to cut the fenders, they hang up on stuff a lot, and even the 2.2 Iroks aren't quite wide enough. yeah thats my 3 yr old, tall, lean, 15lb cat. I have to agree about the chassis, Lue (MattZilla) did an amazing job. Very impressed with the quality, and him as a person. Would absolutely recommend him to any one. |

Hey does any one have any ideas of how to make a dual shock mount on the wraith axles? This jeep has so much weight it bounces and kinda wobbles like a bobble head. I need to add some stiffness and I think a second shock, RC4WD's scale white shocks will do. If you have some ideas or any one could machine a new link/shock mount for the axle let me know. Thank you in advance for any ideas.

Ok so I was sorting through a bunch of stuff and trying to organize all the spare parts and things I have, and I found eight RC4WD 20mm wheel spacers with 12mm hex's. I have the steelie rims so I had to drill the center hole to make it work, but it looks a bit better now. Instead of the tires being completely tucked under the flares, they stick out slightly. I have a few pictures, waiting on my email to my self from my iPhone to my laptop... what a pain in the butt. One of these days Ill figure out how to post pictures from my iPhone. Edit: Love the flex shots, even if they're only poser shots. I will shoot some paint on this soon, not sure when but I would really like to get it done soon. Im thinking Solar Yellow, its still stuck in my head. I already have a 1:1 2 door JK that is red, and 2 scalers that are red. Need to change it up a bit. Dang, that thing looks so much better with those spacers! This thing is flat out awesome! I can't help you with the paint as mine will probably end up red to match my 1:1 haha

I basically want a paint that goes good with the black cage and wheels. Im a red jeep kinda guy, but I think I have enough red. I like yellow too they always look real good with a bunch of black so thats my thinking. I need to get my compressor and air brush's set up, and need to find a place to paint that won't ruin any thing.

My first thought is the solar yellow, but the TJ electric lime green, flame red, or the lighter TJ intense blue are all a close second. What does every one else think give me your opinions. All the colors look good but which one do you think is the best?
