Well the Chassis is at the powder coaters and the body will be getting paint this weekend. I'll finish the bumpers tomorrow night as well.
Then I'll have some running(action) pics for you maybe I'll be able to get a short Vid.
I'm also hopping to get the trailer done on Saturday.

I wanna see this trailer. If it's half as cool as the tow rig....

Well I'll be using 2.2 moabs for wheels cause I've never seen a trailer with wheels the same size as the rig. I know you'll like it. ;)
I'll get pics this weekend and get them posted. Right now I'm more concerned with building stuff.
Reason I haven't been on much.

Here she is BFR. All painted and running under its own power.

The frame from Powder Coating

All put together, I still need to hook up the lights and place the batteries so they don’t move around on me. I need to finish the bumpers and get them installed. They will be black as well.

These were taken in the dark and aren’t that great.

These were taken in little better light.

The bed is a little crooked and will be fixed later this week. But I’m representing.

I already have a little carnage from driving it outside at night. Need to get a new axles housing. Hopefully order it today.

Just more pics.

My crappy attempt at true flames. I was using a crappy waterbase transparent the yellow ended up looking green. It’s hardly noticeable but the flash brings the colors out a bit. I don’t think it was too bad for my first ever attempt. Maybe when I get some better paint I’ll try again.

Thanks guys. I'll bring it to work and try it out on some of the rocks around here. The back still steers even though it broke one of the screws, but I'm still going to take it easy on it. I still need it to pull the trailer that I've been working on.
the front doesn't steer as nice as the rear because of the way I set it up and I had to use a receiver pack for better steering. I'll get a final weight on it this afternoon as well. I also need to loosen up the suspension. I have it tighentend to where the shackles don't move so it rolls over easily as it sits now.
I'll see if a co worker will take a video for me.

Glad to see its running. Have you thought about just locking out the rear steer? It is a scale rig.

going out in a few minutes to get it on the rocks.
I'll take some pics.
I'm just hoping the rear stearing will hold up long enough before I totally trash it.

And about locking the rear steer. This is the Big F*cking Rig. I have to have rear steer.

Is the rear steer proportional to the front, full on/off (switch) or? I have two seperate ideas floating around in my head. One involves a single servo (1/4 scale) turning two sets of wheels where one set is about 2/3 the other in throw...

the rear steer is porportional and independent from the front.

Well I took it out on the rocks for just a few minutes. I didn't do to bad. but the rear steer posed a problem cause it's only attached at one end, but it did work.
The front tire came off. I didn't lock tight any screws yet.
I also weighed it and it came in at 12.05 pounds. Not too bad for how big it is.
It was also raining outside so traction sucked as well.

All and all not bad for it's maiden voyage.

on to the pics I took. It's cold out side..

Top heavy.

Just before the wheel came off and me running to my car like a little girl.

It's not really to bad, since it is more for a Crawler Hauler than a Crawler.

Well I'm hoping to finish slyver (XJman's tuber) and some links and get stuff packed tonight and to ship out tomorrow. If I can get done before 12am I'll be able to mock up the trailer and make the ball for the rig.
