I know, I was considering camo.. I read about opening a photobucket account and posting pics first to link to this site. Guess I missed something. Try this 2013-04-08_17-30-43_434_zpsee698c68.jpg Photo by darksideofasaucerfulofsecrets | Photobucket Guess I could use advice on the picture posting as well.. |

OK, first forgive me but I'm an old guy who has lost his politically correct filter. JOKES !!!!!!!! ppl.. > "you should read my Fbook post on a newb who posted a 2.2 build RIGHT after I JUST bumped my thread....... stomps back to shop to work on shock mounts" > "I'm an old guy,, near 50, I don't even own a cell phone, I got pics on my thread" > 2.2" x 8 = 17.6" .... 5" x 8 = 40"...15" x 8 = 120" thought 2.2 was 1/8th |

Get some 2.2 pitbulls tires. Fit better.

The NB body is awful wide compared to some other similar size bodies like the Raptor. SCX axles are going to be quite narrow under there. You'll probably need about 1-1.5" extenders on each side depending on the offset of the wheels and the stance you are going for. Some of the RPM "Wide Track" rims in 2.2 may get you quite a bit of the way there. Best advice I can offer is get the rims in that you plan to use, bolt them on the axle and see how far in you are. Then figure out what width of extender you need. I use a WK axle in the rear with 1" extenders on both sides and it fits very well. I run TSL 2.2's with mine and they look nearly perfect and tuck right into the wheelwell. Flat irons in 2.2 are a bit smallish to my eyes. Almost like a bone stock dodge tire. Perfect if you are going for a stock look though. Have plenty of pics in my Dodge thread if it helps you along: 1:6 Dodge Ram IFS Been building different variations with this truck for years. Hope that helps! |

... Looks like good progress, possibly a little bit higher as well to look more "lifted"

I will look for a wider stance of rim, thanks for the RPM suggestion. Also, the 2.2 flat irons are just while build is happening, much easier to move around w/smaller tires. Will end up with 2.2 HB ROVER tires which fill the space better, or I will look into the TSL 2.2's OSRC suggested, they have a good look to them or some pitbulls possibly. What brand and type of axle extenders are you running on the WK axles OSRC and can I expect the same "stance" with a 1" extender? I am shooting for tire just sticking out a little bit (realistic but FUNCTIONAL) Also is that a custom job front bumper on your dodge OSRC? Liking the paint also, very near the color scheme I have in mind down the road. |

What is the width of the body? Fender to fender. I have a set of widners. But they are wide.

Width looks to be 10" & 7/8ths. I have a pair of wideners that are 17mm I will need to try on for size once the HB ROVER 2.2's have been put onto axles. Have a little time today so stripping the stickers, mounting body at ride height, setting suspension and trying on new shoes. Have decided upon a novak eiger ESC w/55t motor, I found a new combo for MUCH cheaper then the TEKIN FXR setup I had my eye on. Also have lined up a hitec FM 3channel radio set for the dodge. Possibly a little paint on the frame if I have time. Happy with my progress thus far *CHEERS*

TowerHobbies.com | Integy EXT + 15mm Axle/Wheel Hub Green Axial SCX-10 With Axial axles and 1" per side, should be right on. It is. just plain brass tubing and sheet, double walled. Expected it to bend easily, but it's been holding up well. Last edited by OSRC; 04-14-2013 at 06:45 PM. | |

Got body mounts finished for now, tires look much better size then the flat iron 2.2's. Also like the black beadlocks as opposed to the chrome. Thinking about possibly a gun metal gray top with black on bottom paint job. Wanted blue but want original also! Thoughts, suggestions, great drink recipes? Cheers* |

Frame still needs more paint, possibly longer shocks, and extenders of some kind. These beadlocks with 2.2 rovers pictured filled out a little better |

TEST RUN PHOTOS IN THE TALL GRASS FAR OVER THE ROOF Ran a Novak eiger esc w/ novak rockstar 55t on 3s bat. Has fair speed for a scaler and performed well. Rear drive shaft is built with axial wraith nylon pieces splined together (mainly female pieces). Has a mean look without the headlights etc Also installed 17mm wideners which filled out the axles MUCH better in my opinion. Tires could be bigger but looking for scale. Going to lift a little higher for more body clearance. Any recommended shocks that are longer then axial ones. |

Few Updates, repaired the large vertical cracks in both front fenders structurally from the inside and filled the cracks with a good few coats of krylon primer. Also got a 2 thin coats of krylon satin black also. Going to go with satin black grill hood roof bed and lower portion all satin and center section going down length of truck will be navy blue. All chrome will be satin and I will attempt smoking head/tail light housings. Tore out axial tranny and installed an RC$WD AX-2 2 speed transmission. Showed up with a factory damaged output and I had to buy a replacement because their communication is hit and miss. Hooked up an axial 20T motor and also mounted some RC$WD ROX LOX 2.2's. Obtained some axial wraith axles front and rear which will fill out much better then the scx10's w/wideners. Got them in trade from local classifieds THIS IS AN INTERESTING LEARNING PROCESS, BIG THANKS TO OSRC FOR ADVICE AND SHARING FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE. |
